Meet Dr. Luke Carlson DDS, MS

Orthodontics is exciting for me on a daily basis because I enjoy the relationships that I build with my patients while helping them achieve their goals of a healthy, attractive, and confident smile. It is rewarding to have a positive influence on a patient’s life and to enhance their self-esteem and confidence. Being an orthodontist is a natural fit for me as it combines my interests and talents in science, knowledge in smile, facial aesthetics, and problem-solving skills. It is fulfilling for me to offer my patients customized orthodontic treatment, to be a part of my patients’ lives, and to see their smile transformation.

I am very fortunate to have such an excellent team who care so much about our patients. The energy and enthusiasm our team shares everyday with our patients helps to make orthodontics a fun and enjoyable process.

Life Outside the Office

I was raised in Stillwater, MN, and met Kirstin, my wife, while attending St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. We found Duluth and the surrounding communities to be a perfect place for us to work, live & raise a family. In my free time, I can most often be found enjoying the outdoors of northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin. Kirstin and I enjoy hiking on the north shore, running, fishing, kayaking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and golfing. In the fall, I enjoy being afield hunting with my dad & brothers. Now that we have made this community our home, I look forward to future running and Nordic skiing events that this area has to offer (I have completed several Twin Cities and Grandma’s Marathon’s as well as several American Birkebeiner ski races).

I love orthodontics. I find it exciting to be involved in the orthodontic process that can make a significant and positive change in a patient’s life. For me, it is a privilege to be able to enhance my patients’ quality of life and self-confidence through the creation of a healthy and radiant smile. I feel blessed with the opportunity to work with so many wonderful people and form lasting relationships with them throughout their orthodontic journey. It is fulfilling to see a patient’s new beautiful smile that they get to share with the world. I truly appreciate the opportunity to make a positive difference in my patients' lives.

Life Outside the Office

I was born and raised in Two Harbors, MN, and I am excited to be home in northern Minnesota. My husband, Luke, and I met during our undergraduate years at St. Olaf College. We are looking forward to raising a family together in Duluth. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and being in the great outdoors. I love hiking on the North Shore, fishing, kayaking, golfing, skiing, snowshoeing, and traveling. I also enjoy searching for agates on the shores of Lake Superior.

Dr. Melanie is originally from Highland, Utah. She started her career in the dental field as a dental hygienist, where she loved cultivating the patient/provider relationship and educating patients about oral health. She worked as a dental hygienist for three years, and then she decided to enroll in dental school.

She attended University of Utah School of Dentistry and was honored to be inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. After graduating from dental school, she moved to Minneapolis to complete her orthodontic residency and received her orthodontic specialty certificate from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.

She is thrilled to be up in the Northland enjoying and exploring all our outdoor activities. She enjoys downhill skiing and spending time with her son, Christian. We are so thrilled to have her on-board with Arrowhead Orthodontics!

Dr. Brieanna Lise is originally from Stillwater, MN and attended St. Olaf College for her undergraduate studies before heading across the pond to study abroad at the University of London, earning a Masters degree in Contemporary Ethics. She then attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry for both dental school and her orthodontic residency. Dr. Brieanna Lise is board certified through the American Board of Orthodontics and started her career in West-Central Wisconsin, where she practiced orthodontics for 6 years before moving to the Northland and joining Arrowhead Orthodontics.

Dr. Brieanna Lise loves being an orthodontist because it allows her to build meaningful relationships with her patients and their families while creating healthy, beautiful and confident smiles. She finds fulfillment in being part of enhancing a person's self-esteem and confidence and making a positive difference in their life.

Dr. Brieanna Lise is thrilled to now call the Northland home. You can find her in the great outdoors with her husband and little girl enjoying their favorite activities: camping, hiking, canoeing, cross-country skiing, down-hill skiing, and perusing nearby craft fairs. We are excited to have her join the Arrowhead Orthodontics Team!

Brian Landrigan DDS, MS

I love my job because it offers me the opportunity to meet so many different people and learn so much from them. It also gives me the chance to improve the quality of life for the people I serve by improving their self-image and self-confidence. I really enjoy watching someone’s personality transform as they become more confident. I have learned so much from my patients over the years. They have enriched my life and made me a better person.

My staff are the most caring people I have ever worked with. They are committed to giving our patients the best possible treatment in an environment in which they are comfortable.

Life Outside the Office

I grew up nearby in St. Cloud and today I make my home in Duluth. My wife, Tam, and I have two kids, Haily and Owen. I love spending time with my family and doing just about anything outdoorsy: hunting, fishing, camping, cooking, gardening, running & competing in marathons. My family and I also contribute to many local charitable organizations. My wife has been active in the school system and PTO, and was president of MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) when our children were younger.
